Herbal Dispatch's New Product Badges: Your Guide to What They Mean

If you're like us, you're probably always on the lookout for that cannabis product that's just right for you. With a sea of options out there, it can be tough to know where to start. Distinguishing one product from the next can feel like an impossible task, especially if they all look and sound so similar.

That's where our new cannabis product badges come in! These badges are designed to help you quickly and easily identify which products might be the right fit for you.

To get started, simply take a look at any product category that you're interested in. You'll see a list of badges next to every product image. Each badge corresponds to a different quality attribute, so you can quickly find what you're looking for. What do the badges mean?

In this blog post, we'll explain what each badge means and how it can help you make the most informed decisions about your health.

Out with the old (A to AAAA), in with the new

In the legacy system, cannabis flowers were graded on a scale of A to AAAA. While this system helped identify the overall quality of a product, it didn't give much information about specific attributes that might be important to you. For example, if you were looking for a flower that was cold-cured, you would have to sift through all of the options and try to find one that was labeled as such. This could be time-consuming and frustrating, to say the least.

With the new badges, you can quickly and easily identify which products meet your specific criteria. Now if you're looking for a cold-cured flower, you can simply look for the badge that says "cold-cured." It's as easy as that!

What do the badges mean?

Let's take a closer look at each of these badges in more detail.

Cold-cured - Dried flower that is cold-cured undergoes a process of curing that involves exposing the flower to low temperatures over an extended period. This process preserves the plant's terpene profile, which is responsible for the unique flavour and smell of each cannabis strain.

Hand-cut - When you see the hand-cut badge, it means that the cannabis flower was hand-cut rather than trimmed by a machine. Hand-cutting is a more labour-intensive process, but it results in a cleaner trim with less damage to the delicate trichomes on the surface of the plant.

Hang dried - If you see the hang-dried badge, it means that the cannabis was dried using a method that involves suspending the plant material from a clothesline or other support. Hang-dried cannabis is known for its high quality, as this method of drying helps to preserve the plant's trichomes and terpene profile.

Living soil - The living soil badge indicates that the plant was grown in soil that is alive with living organisms. Worms, non-sporing fungi, and peat moss are just a few of the organisms that can be found in living soil. This results in a more robust plant with better flavour and aroma.

Organic - If you prefer to consume products that are certified organic, look for this badge! Cannabis that is certified organic has been grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Organic cannabis can be more expensive, but many people believe that it is worth the extra cost.

Slow cure - The slow-cure badge means that the cannabis product was cured using a slow curing process, a process that helps to preserve the plant's natural cannabinoids and terpenes. Slow-curing results in a smooth, flavorful product that is rich in aroma and taste.

Sun grown - When you see the sun-grown badge, it means that the cannabis plant was grown using only sunlight as a source of energy. Sun-grown cannabis is often less expensive than cannabis grown using artificial lights, with a quality that can be just as good or better than indoor-grown cannabis.

3-week flush - When you see the 3-week flush badge, it means that the cannabis plant was given a 3-week flush of only water before harvest. This flushing process helps to remove any residual nutrients from the plant, resulting in a cleaner, smoother-tasting product.

Exclusive - An Exclusive badge means that the cannabis product is only available for purchase at Herbal Dispatch. Exclusive products are usually of exceptional quality, priced for good value, and are often in high demand, so be sure to check back often to see what exclusive products we have to offer!
